Pistol Courses

 1 Day ​technical skills course. 

Fundamental Handgun is a 1 day course for all levels of handgun shooters and perfect for beginner shooters.  Regardless of skill level, if you are new to MTC handgun training, it is recommended you start here.

Students will receive instruction and practical application of:

• Weapon Safety,
• Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
• Reloading
• Malfunction clearance and
• Gear placement

 1 Day ​technical skills class. 

Advanced Handgun is a course for intermediate handgun shooters.

Students will receive instruction and practical application of:

• Weapons safety.
• Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship,
• Shooting while moving,
• Use of cover,
• Dominant and support side marksmanship,
• Unconventional shooting positions and
• Multiple target engagements.

 1 Day ​technical skills class. 

Low Light Handgun is a course for advanced handgun shooters. This course focuses on low/no light situations and techniques, with emphasis on identification. This class will involve stress/elevated heart rate training. *Students do not need to bring a handheld light, one will be provided to you.  You will be better informed to select a light after this course.

 1 Day ​technical skills class. 

Red Dot class is a block of basic instruction on how to use a pistol equipped with red dot effectively.

Students will receive instruction and practical application of:

• Weapon Safety
• Zeroing your red dot equipped pistol
• Fundamentals of red dot pistol marksmanship
• Accuracy with a red dot equipped pistol
• Drawing with a red dot
• Red dot pistol equipped manipulations
• Red dot pistol equipped malfunction clearance​

 1 Day  class. 

This class will go above and beyond the state minimum requirements for obtaining your CPL.

Our staff has years of teaching experience and uses a modern, hands on approach in the classroom which makes for a fun, educational yet relaxing day in the classroom.
