Skill Focus Courses

1 Day ​technical skills class. 

This class is a non live fire class and requires no equipment.  The purpose of this class is to educate students on all night visions characteristics and options so that they can select the devices that fit their needs and budget.  This class focuses on Image Intensifier Night Vision specifically.  Students will receive detailed lectures on all the options they will encounter when selecting night vision devices, including how they effect quality and price.  Then students will take to the range to get hands on and eyes through experience on various devices that cover the spectrum quality and price. 

1 Day ​technical skills class. 

In this  course, students will begin with properly setting up their night vision equipment.  Students will move with and manipulate firearms in darkness while completing simple and complex shooting scenarios while under Night Vision.  This course will involve walking, light running stairs and ladder climbing.

This radio communications course, taught by Mojave Repeater, will consist of one day of “classroom” type instruction and one day of practical application. Details regarding the packing list, location, start times, and curriculum will be sent to participants in an email prior to the start date of the course.

​This is a joint course between MTC and Finest Hour. Combat Medicine is a 2 day medical course for intermediate shooters. This course focuses on treating yourself and those around you in a critically dynamic environment, with an emphasis on gun shot wounds.

This  class will use a combination of classroom instruction and practical field application.  Graduates will understand topographic map reading and land navigation techniques.   Classroom topics are reinforced and practiced with practical field exercises.  Participants will leave confident in map reading and compass navigation.

2 Day ​technical skills course. 

Winter Fieldcraft is a 2 day course focused on cold weather survival and preparedness. The course is split between 2 shorter days to accommodate the limited light of the winter and to allow time for students to get more practical application if they choose. This class will be taught entirely in the field, with a warming fire.
